IRATA LEVEL 2

ADDRESSED TO

It is addressed to level 1 IRATA technicians with more than one year of experience and 1000 hours worked on ropes that want to learn complex rescue techniques and installations.

Theory:

    • ICOP – Code of Good Practices IRATA

    • TACS – Structure training IRATA system

    • Regulations and use of PPE

    • National legislation.

    • Safety and prevention at heights.

    • Theory exam (level 2)

PRACTICE

    • All Level 1 manoeuvres

    • Review of PPE equipment.

    • Rescue of victim during ascent.

    • Victim rescue when switching the ropes.

    • Rescue of victim in short fractionation.

    • Rescue victim in diversion.

    • Rescue victim on structures.

    • Lift the victim with pulley system and auxiliary rope.

    • Handling of loads, system cross loads and zip lines.

    • Use of hoists.

    • Complex rope installations.

    • Installation of ropes with separate anchors, triangulations.

    • Installation of lifelines.

    • Appropriate choice in the use of rope protection.

DURATION

The IRATA level 2 training consists of 5 days of training and one day of examination by independent examiner, total 6 consecutive days. Recertification is also carried out in 6 consecutive days

REQUIREMENTS

    • Older than 18 years-old.

    • Physical fitness appropriate for the activity.

    • Have the IRATA level 1 valid license

    • Minimum 1,000 hours of experience jotted down in the IRATA logbook

    • Minimum 1 year of level 1 experience

    • Digital certificate of IRATA
    • IRATA license
    • IRATA logbook

VALIDITY

  • All IRATA courses are valid for three years and can be renewed at any IRATA centre around the world.

  • THE PRICE OF THE COURSE IRATA LEVEL 2 IS OF 1150 EUROS
